Do not approve local law to exempt new home buyers of new homes

first time home buyers are, for the most part, in their prime earning years. they are much more capable of paying their fair share. give breaks and considerations to seniors who have been forced from Ramapo because of high taxes. we are OVERPOPULATED. we do not need to attract but rather deflect population growth.

In an area like Ramapo where people are flocking to buy homes there is no need to further burden the tax payers with another unnessary gift to builders and the bloc vote which supports the town board

Whatever made you think they were going to be different? St. Lawrence may be gone but the machine behind him is still in place. And I am sure the last election had the same type of fraud that happened in Bloomingburg.

The Town of Ramapo is considering giving first time buyers of newly constructed primary residential property tax exemptions. Why? And why only newly constructed homes. Why not existing houses? Are the tenement builders having trouble finding buyers? Is it possible that people who have thought about leaving the city see Monsey now as urban as Boro Park? It is not for the Town of Ramapo to bail out developers for overbuilding. The half-built monstrosity at 52 Blauvelt Road tried to squeeze in more units and has had buyers back out because the rooms are too small. The schools are oversaturated. Other potential buyers have seen three toddlers died in the last year because the infrastructure is unsuitable for the housing density. The developers do not deserve a gift from the Town of Ramapo. Those who do are the Seniors who have paid taxes for over 50 years only to have blockbusters try to drive them out. They're the ones who should be getting a tax holiday.

why would anybody in their right mind want to do this the town is overpopulated . There is no reason for this we need to bring in more money not less.

I hope our community will join together and stop this corruption. We can not allow this to happen to the town we have lived in and raised our children in, our beautiful neighborhood with its Blue Ribbon Schools!

This tax cut is wrong on so many levels. Just the fact that it is even a proposal is outrageous with the amount of taxes we are paying. It clearly benefits a certain population. Have we not learned anything from the past? Or will all the old timers like me just be forced to get out of Ramapo before it is too late.

My property taxes have more than doubled since I moved in. Why not raise my taxes some more you filthy crooks.

Residential construction will increase demand for services from a system that already cannot adequately fund the current budget. Reducing revenues without reducing expenditures is a recipe for worsening the disaster. If anything Ramapo needs an at least 5 year residential development moratorium and incentives for increased commercial development until the financial ship is righted.

If you want to own a home, you have to pay your fair share of the taxes. ESPECIALLY with the loss of Federal tax allowances for state and local taxes. Tell Ramapo to be fair to ALL its residents, not just the special interest groups that have over run our tow.

The Town of Ramapo's government arrogance and defiance of the law never ceases to amaze me. This is a terrible idea.

This exemption won't benefit the public only individual's.

I oppose any law that exempts new Ramapo home buyers from property taxes. For a town being over built and in need of more revenue this is not in the best interest of existing home owners and the town.

Don’t let this happen.

The town of ramapo is already over developing, if anything additional burdens should be placed on the builders to better our entire infrastructure not just in the money area
