The clock tower is a very distinctive feature of this old historical building and the structure should be retained as part of our heritage.

My concern is the "modern" building. There is a small town ambiance to Ridgeway that should be maintained and new / modern can be designed to look old.

This building should have already been designated as an Heritage Property. It should not be demolished. Too many historical buildings are lost for the sake of "progress". The soon-to-be-vacant RCBHS would make an ideal multi-purpose facility.

Just another wonderful idea by the powers that be. The people in the know, that KNOW NOTHING about culture history architecture, and the wonderful town we call home,Ridgeway. We live here for many reasons one of which is the small town atmosphere and historical buildings. If there are funds available to demolish such a treasure, maybe the funds would be better allocated to upgrade technology to provide our future generation with the tools to succeed in a global market. Stop wasting tax payers money on stupid ideas made by bureaucrats,

We have so little that has been saved from the past now. Please, don't continue the trend. Think of what you plan to destroy!

It seems like a lovely building with it's clock tower as well. It would be a shame to lose it.

Let's preserve what is novel. It is often the character of our past that demonstrates the character of our future.

Instead of Big Brother telling us what to do, perhaps they might really try something novel and ask the residents what they want to see.

I completely agree with the sentiments. I am quite sure that a sope of work, and a tendering process seeking a "fixed price, bonded contract " would allow for a modernization of the inside of the building.
