Reinstate the changes made to the graduation program to allow Regina Public Schools Students to have a full graduation banquet

Wow I can see the Catholic schools enrolment growing even more! 2 years 2 brilliant ideas remember this at election time

Let the students decide!!!!

Shame to deprive any students from having a full graduation banquet, if they want it. Be different if the students made this decision themselves.

Bring back grad

Consultation prior to the decision would have been wise.

This decision by the board was a knee jerk reaction. It is unfair to students and parents.

Every kids dream. Parents make it cost so much. Something can be done cheaper

This is another example of a poorly thought-out decision by the School Board. Parents and students should have been consulted. There are alternatives that should have been explored prior to making this decision.

All important milestones in your life, especially one worked so hard for, should be marked by a celebration with family and friends!

The banquet and dance is a rite of passage. Most important and memorable event in a young person's life. Stop taking the fun away!!!

First of all the parents & students should have had a part in this decision. I am sure they could have provided the solution. Parents & students need to get involved & take the program out of the hands of the teachers at the high schools. Too many things have been placed in the hands of teachers when they really need to be in the hands of the parents. We have lots of fantastic parents out there who could organize the event at their particular high school. There would likely be a teacher that would act as a liaison between school & parents. I realize that a large part of the planning was already done by the parents. Why not give it a try!

This is totally rediculas this is what motivates student's to graduate and why take away their privilege to say farewell to their friends.

Graduations for Grades 8 and 12 are important rites of passage. Don't deny the kids this important occasion!

A disappointing decision that not only affects the students, their families but the teachers that have mentor our future citizens.

This is a tradition that would truly be missed and especially for the class of 2016 because they would already have their hearts set on this!!!

They need to reverse it. If money is an issue, you'd think that the graduates would take responsibility & apply for jobs considering they're old enough. I've never come across where someone wasn't able to pay for their gown/tux..

All students deserve a proper graduation.
