Reinstate the changes made to the graduation program to allow Regina Public Schools Students to have a full graduation banquet

I think that all kids should have the opportunity to go and dress up and spend one of the last nights with their fellow graduates

They deserve it because the other kids got it

very upset that a few principals are making the decision for a lot of students. Some of these kids are the first to graduate from their families. It is a big deal.

Fundraising is the key if "some" people can't afford it. Don't take away something kids and families look forward too at the end of their hard earned high school years of graduation ceremonies and celebrations - just because some families can't afford this. That's absurd! Get up and fundraise!!!!!!! Such a shame this is!

Unfair that we do not get a banquet. Its always something to look forward too especially with your best friends by your side.

Let's reward students for their hard work. This is one so few as a milestone in a young persons life

Taking away the grad banquet is ridiculous. The student should have a choice on whether or not to participate. For some children, this is the only graduation banquet that they will ever participate in.

This is bs! So my one child got to celebrate grad and now my daughter can't! Absolutely unacceptable!

Youth that graduate from high school put in a lot of time and effort to do so they should have the opportunity to have a celebration/banquet in their honour. It is a time for them to shine, get dressed up with classmates and just have fun. A road on becoming an adult.

This is absolutely ridiculous; there are ways to reduce the costs and offer payment plans to families, and if it's too much work for teachers, there are parents who would be more than willing to organize; I believe this is nothing more than the school division trying to save another buck at the expense of taking away one of the most important days of a students life!!!

Let's not take this tradition away

This is horrible, these kids deserve to a graduation, dances you name it!! Why was this such a fast decision? Aren't their ideas to raise money? Such as bake sales, fundraisers? Give these kids a chance to experience what we did!!

What happened to common sense. ...this is a major part of graduation. ..all I can say is ..WHAT ???

Many soon-to-be graduates were looking forward to things like this that are a tradition to the graduation celebration, and you've taken it away without even considering how they feel.

You have taken away a significant part of the celebration for the students without consultation or true consideration. Shame on you.

The students who have put in great effort in their academics deserve a celebration of their achievements at the end of a long 12 year journey! Little ones look forward to their graduation day for years. Let's celebrate our children!
