Reinstate the changes made to the graduation program to allow Regina Public Schools Students to have a full graduation banquet

I don't even go to a public school

I think if they are going cancel the banquet then there should be some kind of event other then just cap and gown.

You, the people if the school board. Think back to YOUR grad.

I'm stunned that the banquets would be cancelled for graduating students. They have always been a part of graduation celebrations and are well-deserved by the students. Any issues and difficulties in making the celebrations inclusive can be overcome with some creative planning. Cancelling the banquet won't mean an end to celebrating. Graduates will only find other means which will probably not be easy to supervise and will end up not being family-inclusive. What are you people thinking:? This issue needs to be revisited.

So disappointed! I remember my grad from Campbell and I want my daughter to have those memories also. They deserve this honor!!! Please bring grad back!!!

My daughter will graduate in 2017 and this is really upsetting that the memories they have at their supper and dance is being taken away.

My eldest daughter graduated three years ago and I flew out to attend the grad ceremonies and banquet with her. (I live in BC and she lives in Regina.) I was very grateful to have such a lovely event to attend with her to mark the special day and milestone in her life. I was looking forward to repeating the experience with my youngest daughter in 5 years time. It's important to make efforts to mark special commemorations such as this one. To remove the banquet entirely would be a shame.

The School Board should be ashamed. This is a disgrace.

Not fair at all. The kids look forward to thus night their whole time through highschool. They deserve to be celebrated. They work so hard for to get there. This would have been my childrens graduating class. They have many friends that will be graduating this year. We are now in Alberta. If its cost then give the parents some options for fundraising or something. I am also pretty sure some of the ladies have bought their prom dresses already.

I have two daughters who look forward to this celebration very much! They work hard and have always been honor roll students... I believe they deserve a celebration for all the hard work they have put in! All students do!!!

I would like to see the recent changes revoked and a full graduation ceremony reinstated for the graduating class of 2016. I feel these changes were made without consulting the student who are involved.

Thia is unfair, especially with such short notice.

The kids work so hard to get to graduation that they look so forward to having a big celebration for all their hard work through all the years.
