Cut, cut, cut, that's the only word they have in their vocabulary. Some politicians should go back to Day Care and learn a few things, especially how to run this Country.

Without funding we cannot provide care to the highest level of quality and it isn't only the directors who will suffer, the children in our care will as well.

The most ridiculous cuts are happening in the most vulnerable places! Stop the madness!

Yes, I agree with those who say there are other ways to make cuts, rather than with daycares. I also, agree that some woman will have to quit their jobs and stay home. Who can pay more with most people making minimum wage or very little above minimum wage? And on the other hand most day care workers are just making minimum wage with no benefits. What is wrong with this province's government?

Day Care operators , most of them women , are working very hard ! So why punish them with this reduction? Child Care must be a priority !

There is so many other cut backs that should be taking into place aside from this.
What happen to our children being the future??
As a mother of 2, and worker at a daycare this affects us in so many ways.
How is this even fair? No offense to people on assistance, but yet they get to sit home and have full daycare paid for, yet do u see anyone bothering them? Where as this affects every single parent with children whom are trying to do what's best for them and there children. If this were to happen I can see a lot of people quitting there jobs, and relying on other sources as income, clearly because there making it impossible to pay for.

I strongly disagree with this cut. The jobs cut will impact more then just the employees.

as our children are our future, they deserve the best childcare and early education possible. Cuts to daycares will only result in shortcuts in programs, potential overcrowding and educators being paid less therefore reducing the quality of educators working at these facilities. As a part of two children who are in childcare, I shudder to think of the consequences. We pay an outrageous amount as it is and can't afford for rates to go up.
