As an owner of a daycare, I am shocked at this decision. At a time when the province needs more daycare spaces to accommodate so many working families; you decide to cut funding. This decision will, in no doubt, alter the thoughts and minds of anyone contemplating opening a daycare and may well force many owners to close. I never would have thought that this government would go after daycares. Very disappointed in you Brian!

you always have to sign petitions after the fact. government decisions always made with no discussion with daycare operators themselves.

I understand the need for cutbacks and I have keep my silence about most of them but does anyone in the Provincial government understand how hard it is to find decent daycare? These little ones are so important to the future of this beautiful province where they will hopefully live and work in the future. I am from the generation where we stayed home and raised our children but in this day and age that is no longer an option for most families. These children need decent, affordable, quality daycare.

Daycares NEED this extra funding! These funds help pay staff that are already underpaid! These people are helping raise our children, they deserve better!

If you greedy bastards want to make cuts, start at the top where it won't matter. That is all I have ever seen under the LIBERAL governments is CUT CUT CUT.

I'm a single mother and I can't afford for my daycare costs to go up because the government is looking for ways to save money probably because of the snow costs this year why should low income people suffer and hurt because the government wants to save money or recoup money they have lost

The middle class families which are the future of our province is getting hit here. They are going to pay more for child care. Not like they arn't tax enough already.
