Get a grip new brunswick... start doing things right for a change before you loose ALL your citozens to Alberta

This is unreal, what is our government coming too. I guarantee the government pay cheques are not being effected, how do you all sleep at night?

john white Quispamsis The innovative work that's being done by these Early Childhood Educators is outstanding. It establishes the groundwork for their future learning experience. I respectfully ask our government to rescind this proposed cut. Not to do so is detrimental to the future of our youth.

Daycares run on a very small profit & have one of the most important jobs in our society today. helping to produce a society for the future that will continue to keep life as we know it on the right track....It is an enormous task & parents have to have this service. Cutting funding is going to cause more employers to be mindful as to whether or not it is worth the effort to manage /..run the business & fulfill their business responsibilities without financial support..Is the government trying to shut them down ?? It is the employer who does much of the work..both on the floor & behind the scenes Small daycares cannot afford extra staff..so that they can just sit back & administrate.....they also have to put in the hours that their staff does..& staff can go home that night & not worry about the next day..Employers cannot ..And what about the burden on working parents who work & pay taxes to support this Government ??..Child care is a necessity for many parents..why should they be burdened when they are working to keep themselves out of the welfare systems & are contributing to our society..to our communities..to our province !!

The innovative work being done by thesr Early Childhood Educators in order to start our children off in the right scholastic direction is outstanding!! This move by our government will be a major setback and I respectfully urge the powers at be to reconsider this ill thought out move.

our children are our most precious resourse. You are endangering their development by making these cuts. Leave education and Health alone, put in tolls on the highways to make up the difference. The public will hate you anyway

I think this is a slap in the face to daycare owners in this province. The ratio of children to staff is high enough that it is difficult for daycare owners to run a profitable business while providing families with peace of mind childcare. They are providing an invaluable service while meeting stringent rules put in place by the province, and if they cannot run at a profit, they will be forced to close. I have excellent childcare for my two boys that is well worth the money, but childcare is one of my biggest expenses. Staying home with my children until they are school age is not an option for me, and I believe this funding cut does a great disservice to women in the workforce. It is difficult enough to balance family with a demanding career without the added concern of finding nurturing, affordable childcare.

Stop the cuts! Our children deserve having trained staff while attending daycares. These cuts will force facilities to hire none educated staff or to make cuts in other areas that the should not be forced to do so.

Just another reason why this government does not value it's people. Not enough day cares as it is, and now they want to stop funding those who are professionally trained!

As a mother, I want and deserve to have trained professionals take care of my daughter, while I am at work, supporting my family and this economy.

Having help from the government has made things easier on me and created the opportunity to have more money for things they need other than day care.

I am so tired of living in a "HAVE NOT" province...talk about setting women's equality back! Not to mention the fact that this will have an impact on employment in a province that is already hurting. Maybe it is time to pull up stakes and join my husband out in Alberta :( And then there is the effect this is going to have on quality in daycares, staff, programming, supplies and equipment...COME ON SERGE!!! PRIVATE DAYCARE OWNERS DO NOT EARN MONEY!!!!!! Even without this cut we are literally operating month to month, crossing our fingers that we make payroll...And never mind saying the money is going towards $3.07/hr for untrained staff and $5.00/hr to trained staff...that is a lie, they are already receiving this. Stop talking in circles and pull your head out of wherever it is you have stashed it and STOP MAKING CUTS TO ESSENTIAL SERVISES!!!!!

I live in Edmonton Alberta as a Director of a not for profit centre and I know that throughout Canada many people have looked to New Brunswick and the great work done to support Early Childhood Education. To hear that government want to make cuts to the hard work and strides made in your province is heart breaking. What happened to putting your future children first. Take pride in your accomplishments New Brunswick and continue to fight your your future, stand up and believe that the children are your future and the people who work with them are important!
