Development always has negative effects, like the rain run-off I'm now dealing with from the DR Horton "Oaks at Eden" area. If I want to eat or shop, I can drive the 5 minutes to 30-A. Let's keep Point Washington a quiet neighborhood.

If I wanted a strip shopping center in my neighborhood, I'd live in PCB.

Why would the BCC even consider granting variances to the Land Development Code for this development? Rules should be rules unless there is some extreme hardship involved. Asking for exceptions to allow the developer to squeeze more in, to make more money is not a good reason to grant any variance. Point Washington is a special place, heck South Walton is a special place. The BCC needs to not be granting variances except in rare situations.

There is no reason for the small, historic neighborhood of Point Washington to have commercial variances. It hasnt needed OR wanted them since the 1930s and it doesnt need or want them now..

I am signing this is hopes that the BCC will stop the madness and quit letting people get away with anything and everything! Someone is getting paid off and it needs to stop!

Totally opposed to this commercial development with its variances in this "Nature Preserve" like community especially with the variances Mr. Horn wants
