Kia is going to cause technicians to quit and go to another company. Fix this ASAP!

Cutting roughly 5-7k a year off my paycheck. I will not stick around for it.

I am a tech for a Hyundai dealer and I would sign this petition to ensure a fair labor rate

Totally unfair.

HMA requires more work to get approval for engine replacement from PA then before and then cuts labor times. Strongly considering leaving the Hyundai brand as a service technician as are many Hyundai technicians.

This should meet realistic times.

Cutting the labor time that much is unfair to a flat rate technician. This job pays between 16-24 hours customer pay (long lock/short lock)

It should be illegal to pay some for 5.4 hours of their time on average, on a job that typically takes eight when working at a reasonable pace. Hyundai and Kia should be ashamed.

I was a certified engine technician at a Kia dealership in Northern California and I agree that the labor time should not be changed and this change is unfair to all and any skilled technicians in the automotive trade

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN AT KIA... NOT ONLY DOES THIS AFFECT US IN THE POCKET BOOK, BUT IT ALSO AFFECTS US PERSONALLY AS FAR AS KNOWING THAT CORPORATE ACUTALLY CARES THAT THEY HAVE QUALITY TRAINED TECHS THAT THEY RESPECT AND APPRECIATE... LOWERING LABOR TIMES IS SHOWING ME THAT KIA REALLY DOESNT CARE, I SPEND MOST OF MY DAYS FIXING KIAS MISTAKES WETHER IT BE RECALLS, WARRANTY EXTENSIONS, SERVICE ACTIONS OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT IS COVERED BY THE EXTENSIVE WARRANTY THAT THESE VEHICLES HAVE, AND WE ALL KNOW THAT WE GET LOW BALLED ON LABOR TIMES FOR ALL OF THAT AS WELL, SO GIVE US A BREAK AND RESTORE THE LABOR TIMES TO REPLACE THE THOUSANDS OF ENGINES THAT WILL BE COMING THROUGH OUR DOORS OVER THE NEXT HOWEVER MANY YEARS THIS WILL BE GOING ON

I have been in the car business for almost 30 years and have never seen such disregard for a technicians time as we see with hyundai and kia (yes lower case). everyone knows techs are hard to come by, good techs even harder and no one wants warranty work because it does not pay enough already to be worth it let alone for longer than any other manufacture. why would you want to work for either one of these companies as a tech? I cant answer that. These two companies are going to put themselves out of buisiness on the services side because of techs and advisors leaving. not to mention the insane volume of "training" courses for both. Sad, sad.

Time drops are very unfair considering them complicating the things needed to even get the engine approved in the first place for the locked up or knocking engines all on top of replacing the actual engine. Times should be at least taken back to what they were originally
