Dealer brands always taking more and more from the technician and their families by lowering these labor rates.

PA asking for more work to verify a problem they know already exists and then cutting time makes no sense. Treat us right, and let us do our jobs.

I feel your pain! General Motors did the same thing to me on duramax fuel system repairs. Used to pay 23 hours. Now 12.9! Keep fighting the good fight!

It's bad enought to replace engines under warranty time for 100,000 miles and now we have that time reduced and milage extended. Warranty time is meant to be less because the vehicles are in newer condition with minimal amount of rust and corrosion compared to customer pay time that is adjusted for this reason on vehicles with more miles and age. Why to the techs have to pay because the manufacturer did not engineer and build it right the first time?

i am a senor tech for 10yrs. done alot for kia and seen changes throughout the years of how kia changes warranty. this time is the most painful way of saying, that kia is gonna lose a lot of senor techs. bad enough that they don't pay for diag. now changing how a engine is replaced cutting time, by removing the front, bad idea. some customer vehicles have damaged to front ends. is kia gonna pay for damaged parts and repaint because how damaged the front bumper is that cannot put back together. or how some headlamps are glued because of damaged. their is no way of saying that the labor times are fair.

As if covid isn't bad enough.

Hyundai is asking for more and more evidence and procedures to prove the engine is bad yet they cut over 2 hours off the labor time. What a joke.

Unfair to the technicians especially. Other personal too. Now with the added labor to do the various tasks to get the engine approved, the labour times go down. They should go up if anything.

I’m a Service advisor and I feel this is very unfair for our flat rate techs

Not fair especially with all the extra steps that have to be taken before approval. Time should have gone up. Not down

Mechanics keep our vehicles and engine based machinery running smoothly. The corporations shouldn't be making the most money off the breaking backs of men/women working in their vehicle bays.

I’m a friend of a Kia tech that literally does nothing but the engine replacements all day, every day and for the company to cut back on the time is bull!

Way to keep the technicians unhappy.

If you aren’t going to pay your techs what they deserve, what is the point of having a Kia?
