restore fair labor times for Kia's PI1803/PI802 and Hyundai's T3G engine replacement campaigns

This is beyond ridiculous and highly inappropriate. Kia is asking technicians, nationwide, to work for practically nothing. Kia, I hope you’re reading this. Your plan of trying to have no quality technicians left, is working. Your LTS time is some of the lowest in the industry, across all manufacturers. You should be ashamed that you are asking this of your dealership staff. I hope you all can leave your desks in sunny California and come fix rusted to the ground vehicles in the tundras of the north. We will be filing a formal complaint with our DPSM and I am advising every technician I know to do the same and to flood your system with a Labor Operation Time Study request. Open your eyes, you are hurting the very people that are fixing this engine mess for you. Don’t punish us. We have families to feed as well. 5 hours for an engine replacement is just unacceptable. Change this, before you lose a majority of your technicians across the country.

Make no sense to cut time

Makes me want to throw away all my training for Kia and get out of the business. The warranty time is bogus as it is and then the cut it. I won’t work for free. I have the job to provide for my family.

Unfair to take paid hours away from licenced professionals which are already doing a job with much reduced labour times for a warranty repair as compared to the same customer paid repair, and now reducing those times further

How can you just cut times but all people to do the same job. If we get times cut we should get hourly wage increases

This is ridiculous , all these test/inspections and wasted hours/days for TL response . And you guys have the nerve to lower the labor time . You’re simply just going to make Techs upset with dealer and they will leave .

I’ve been a Kia tech for 17 years now. This makes me rethink staying with Kia any longer.

I think I’ve decided after 5 years with this manufacturer that it is finally time to step away from it.
