Our technicians have worked tirelessly to refine their skills to complete these engine repairs in a timely manner for our customers. They feel betrayed and not valued by the most recent revision to PI1802/3.

I’m on hyundai side. Not happy about this. The engine is all I do and that’s how I feed my family.

Kia for the last few years has always tried everything in there power to lower warranty time. We have lost great techs from not wanting to accumulate times and expect more work and less pay its getting out of hand. KOC

Please keep our families fed. 5 to 6 hours for an engine replacement and ness test is very unfair.

8.4 wasn’t enough for an optima until you have done 30 of them as it is

I was a master certified kia tech for 4years prior to moving to subaru. I can say that is low and subaru treats there techs much better.

Knock it off KIA . You should add the average wait time for a response from Tech line 3 hours and 18 minutes .

Kia technicians are starting to refuse to do warranty repair due to the fact that Kia is low balling the techs. It’s difficult to do a job when your barely making minimum wage. All Kia technicians need to stand up to this, and demand a better pay. We cannot let KMA run over all of us like this. Take away the big corporate holiday bonuses, and all the other treats that they receive, and distribute that to the technicians that give it their all, to only receive chicken scratch.

9 year Kia master tech. Demand of work goes up... and the pays gets cut down. Not worth investing into Kia of America.

Don’t understand why they would cut time that should pay more for pushing in the vehicle and then doing the PWA and now more work involved and cut time

This is a ridiculous and unfair change in policy. It should be reviewed and corrected before Kia starts losing valuable master mechanics who will be replaced with amateurs that will ultimately hurt the credibility of the brand.

lowered labor times on skinny times already will guarantee engine come backs.

As a service writer the labor times affects me too. It is absolutely unacceptable that they keep dropping the labor times on these engines when Kia knows they have issues. They need to compensate the tech properly
