I refuse to diag or change engines after the lower op code time and the increase in steps for diag, not worth the time.

Unfair reduction of labor time, with added steps and processes now at this point nobody wants to even do engines. It’s not worth it.

Just because a former tech that works for Hyundai tech line now replaced a engine faster than the allowed time isn't a good enough reason to reduce the install time. Now i know of techs that will just through some parts in the garbage just so they can save a extra 15 minutes on the job but that is not everybody.Let them come to the East coast and change a engine.

I work at colonial Kia va057, my main source of income is based off of engine replacements. I’ve been a master tech almost 5 years been with the company almost 9.... this a great way to lose good techs and have bad surveys. You get what you pay for

Any wonder shops cant find a good young tech? Money is already hard to make and this can cause a tech thousands a year.

This is an unfair change in labor time - I am the newest mainline tech in our shop, but I see the senior techs do these engine swaps. It takes them all day, at least. So, they should be paid to re fleet that. Also, it's discouraging to tech like me to see this. Why would we want to better ourselves and keep furthering our training if the end result is just getting stepped on?
