As you continue to ask more of your technicians to approve engines, your labor times should be going up, not down.

Labor times should reflect standard warranty procedure no matter if the repair was done via a recall.

11 years @ kia. Disappointed that they are trying to pass the cost of their poor engineering off on the very people they rely on to install these engines. This will undoubtedly lead to short cuts, by inexperienced techs. Leading to more recalls and lawsuits. Nothing like an oil changer installing a long block...should be interesting.

I’ve worked for Kia going on 6 years as a master tech and our labor times have slowly gone down over time. But being the only guy in the shop that completes these recalls this truly affects me personally like ik it’s going to do for most! I will be losing 10+ hours every week with this taking into affect. If this continues to be then unfortunately I may have to find another career option to financially support my family, which is not my intended move! I love Kia and there product and I own 2. Just very hard to believe that they are willing to affect so many people in such a way. Please help us to restore our labor times, in downward slide that we are going through with our Economy!

Dropping the prices of engine swaps because workers are getting paid to much lol. If you can take a engine out and put one back in eight hours is a job. Were you are a good fast mechanic or slow mechanic still taked time. Kia needs to take better care of there wa workers it what gives them a good name

I've been a flat rate technician since 1978. Have never seen such bad labor times. Kia keeps demanding more hoops to jump through for less and less pay. I feel like they are just making it easier for them to start bouncing claims. You get what you pay for.

Making approvals more difficult and then cutting time 25% goes way beyond unfair

You should back pay your techs for most of their jobs that they did!

You want to keep good technicians, you have to pay them their worth.

I will order engines and let them sit until these labor times are changed. We drive our bodies into the ground to get these done and to stay caught up with them. I'm sure cleaning wasn't taken into consideration either.
