Warranty pay is already low and now you cut it more AND your asking them to do more work with various checks, tests and updates? Looks like you're moving in the wrong direction Kia. Take care of your employees and they will take care of your customers!

Platinum Master Tech, HMA000252689. We work extremely hard for Hyundia and need to jump through hoops to get engines approved. This is a slap in the face to all the hard working techs out there. Im behind this 100%

The problem is that under customer pay most are 17 hour jobs. So the fact that they only pay 8 hours now is a major slap in the face and then they want to drop it even more and add work to diag them for replacement? Who's paying for the work we're doing and why are the laborers being punished because of the manufacturers crappy decisions?

Been with Hyundai for a very long time, I can deal with jumping through hoops to get the things approved, but when the end result just isn't worth it - enough is enough.

Technicians should not have to pay the price for manufacturer mistakes and negligence. Warranty needs to pay technicians like normal customers not less based on how you feel we should be paid. It's already hard enough to find people to do this job and slashing warranty pay because your losing money on engines is going to run off your current techs who spend more money on tools for this job than you do on engines. I also feel like the engines that have obviously had neglected maintenance do not need to be carelessly approved per an insane million mile warranty

If labor times are not adjsuted, people will not want to be technicians and peoples cars will not be fixed properly due to the rest of the time that isnt accounted for which in turn gives poor brand recognition. People have familys, alot of techs are flat rate cant expect them to work for free.

Also they don't factor in all the time it takes to push most of these cars in and out multiple times to do what techline says.

As a kia master tech it sincerely upsets me that kia would disregard the hard work of their most valuable assets by dropping the labor time on the biggest issue kia has had to date.

This just seems to be a way to pinch a penny from all of the costs that is being occurred from this current issue. It is not our fault there is an issue with the motor. If this is a way to get your technicians to find other employment. This definitely a start.
