There has been a blatant disregard and inadvertant disrespect to the technicians that work for Kia/Hyundai. When you place the cost of your failures on them, by cutting warranty labour times and trying to standardize service times below average you directly impact our ability to provide for ourselves and family. Many technicians are ready to leave the brand all together. I think this goes without saying but feel it should be said anyways because it has clearly been forgotten, without technicians your brand doesn't exist. If you dont have technicians you can't process a PDI, you won't get a used car safety, and there is no one to fix the failed engineering on wheels.
I once liked working for this brand, is it too much to ask that you pay a fair wage like the other manufacturers?

Stop being cheap. Not just with these recalls, but all warranty labor times. You’re half of any comparable manufacturer.

Original labor need to be returned, the amount of labor required to complete the engine replacement for the sc147/ pi1802/ pi1803 is not worth current pay

As a flat rate tech, these time cuts from already low times are killing the industry and Hyundai and Kia will struggle to find good techs that will want to stay with the company after this

This issue needs addressed..... Not only did to reduction in labor times but the increase in leg work to get a repair approved...

It’s extortion to the highest degree. It’s not our fault they can’t design an engine and they all fail. It’s sad that the actual time is already cut in have and now it’s the half time gets cut almost in half. 5.3 hours to do an engine is insane. Highway robbery

I’ve been with Kia 14 years. The slap in the face with labor time cuts has made me consider finding a new career.

At a time when it is hard to keep techs. This was a unfair and foolish move!

This just isn't right. And we are taking a hit for engineers fault. Along with the many steps to get an approval this isn't right. It needs to be made right!

These times are completely unfair. I just started with Hyundai around 2 months ago. Been an auto tech for around 10 years now, and these are the worst labor times I have ever seen. You even lowered the time for the t3g????? Pathetic.
