Technicians are underappreciated & overloaded. It is the right thing to do to pay appropriate R&R. Thank you.

That is unacceptable that they would cut the times down so low. how do they expect to keep employees when they don't pay fairly

We need to keep trained technicians interested in staying in this field. Cutting more labor times will only send experienced technicians to other shops, fields.

Changing the labor time is not right. We have to deal with a lot of test & procedures to get a engine approved.I’ve dealt with tech line for 4 days until my engine gets approved. Then your cutting off labor on engines. It’s going to be hard pressed to find technicians now that would want to combat engine jobs & deal with all the kia rules & dealership politics.Shameful for sure.

It's not the fault of the technician these engines are failing in record numbers. It's insane to think Hyundai's plan to stop the hemorrhage of money is to gut the technicians check. Not fix the problem BEFORE nearly 3 million faulty engines hit the streets.

I have only worked for Kia for a month and have replaced 2 engines. I consider myself a decent mechanic and work rather quickly. But find it ridiculous that Kia and Hyundai think with 1 person that the job can be done in 6 hrs or less and that we don’t even get paid for the diag time or the bct. And now with the pi2002 update on certain models To pay even less instead of the pi1802 and pi1803. Completely insane and wonder why technicians don’t want to stay with the company.

As a new tech just starting out this honestly scares me to see Kia doing this to their technicians. An entire engine job takes time and I know I’m not the only one to say that, many many of our technicians say all the same thing and are even willing to not take on the work because of lost time.

We should all be paid what we are worth. The times were barely worth it before now this is a slap in the face.

Been there...warranty labor times are atrocious. They factor them by timing a tech to do the work on a brand new vehicle with all necessary tools and equipment right next to them. No real life studies on vehicles with 100,000 miles and frozen bolts etc.

I am a Hyundai tech and this is ridiculous. More work and less money sounds like it's time to quit
