I know a US KIA mechanic who took the gold in US competition and the Bronze in Korea. What’s changed at Kia?! You no longer listen to what your seasoned workers have to say and now you want to pay them less for their work??!! Makes NO SENSE .

This is absolutely ridiculous. They already have us do so much to even get the engines ordered in the first place. Now we are having to do more work for less pay. Why? Because Kia and Hyundai have to pay millions in dollars in fines? This is on them and should not force techs to suffer more for something we have no control over.

I have been working for Hyundai for over 6 years and am a platinum level technician. However with this cut I will be looking to make a move, possibly to Toyota. I'm losing over 10k with this cut and it's just not worth it to stay with a company that doesn't value my skill set.

It's ridiculously unreasonable to have to do more than 5 engines a week to make a 40 hour paycheck.

just did a short block on a forte. alldata paid 20 hours customer pay. kias warranty is 9.7 hours.. how can anyone justify this? i would say its just greed on kias part.. they are prolly realizing how much its actually costing them and having recall remorse

For the time that it takes to confirm the problem, fill up the tech line case, get approved, and on top of that, take 2 and a half hours away from us is pretty unfair.

This is ridiculous and an insult to our technical knowledge. The warranty times are already low and now you've cut the big jobs. Good luck continuing your company without any technicians to fix the cars you cant even build correctly.

For all the extra steps needed, then the expensive equipment doesn't work when needed which takes for time. Its like they took only the fastest tech times and not the average.

The time is was cut and rgey added more of us to do. I don't feel we should have to take the hit for there mistake on a poor engine build

Unfair labor practices from a poor managed import car company! Looking for a new product line currently! Build a better product !!

Don’t undercut your dependable mechanics. They work hard to ensure customer satisfaction with their current vehicles which in turn provides repeat buyers!
