This is absolutely Ridiculous Kia doesn’t pay anything for the technicians to diagnose anything everything is free to them

This is how good technicians are lost. The continuing of nickel and diming hard working employees are killing the industry. Customers do not want inexperienced techs working on their engines. Pay them what they are worth.

Typical manufacturers taking the complete piss out of the dealers

This is wrong for techs to be punished for Hyundai/KIA mistakes . Just because this recall will cost over Billon Dollors in fines and fixes does no mean Dealership techs nor Dealerships be punished . Techs themself need to start a class action suit against the Manufacturer

I’m a Kia technician and this is completely a slap in the face. The Kia/Hyundia labor times are ALREADY lower than most manufactures and now this?

I shouldn't take a pay cut because you can't make an engine that won't eat itself. And if I didn't have to replace so many of the company's defective engine I would be so good that I could beat the warranty time.

The fact that more work is required to get engines approved for less hours is horrible.

In the automotive industry this is unfortunately common an unfair for many technicians

Just because the veterans are able to make time on warranty jobs because they’ve been fixing the same mistakes for 10 plus years doesn’t mean you need to make the new guys suffer

They keep adding to the procedure and keep cutting the time.

Being a service advisor with a Kia dealership, I work with the techs on a daily basis, not only does this affect my pay, but the techs are very unhappy with this as this is a major pay cut for them, topped along with all of the other ways they do y get paid for diag and fair pays on warranty jobs as these cars do have great warrantys, but I am on the front lines and it’s causing our techs to find employment elsewhere, which is ultimately going to affect the way we can take care of customers and keep our ridiculous csi scores on par with the absurd demands by Kia. What’s the manufacturer going to do when we have good techs going elsewhere to find work and we can’t fix the customer car in a timely manner? They won’t buy Kias anymore, which will ultimately affect their bottom line

This is wrong. Flat rate should be illegal. Now let’s make the techs do more work for less
