Been with Hyundai over 10 years. For every action there is a reaction, right? Labor times have been dropped upon numerous occasions over the course of my time with the Hyundai brand. Technicians, especially the guys doing the heavier and more involved diagnostic work, are already have a difficulty making time due to low warranty labor rates and lack of diagnostic time. Technicians need to eat and support their families too. We are also people trying to make a fair living.

Between diagnostic and replacement we were not getting enough to do engine replacement. It is not fair to cut the time.

This is not fair labor times are horrible with Hyundai. They added more testing work and dropped labor times!

For the amount of work between pushing vehicle around lot into service bay to techline then actually replacing the engine these new labor times are bull sh***..

These times are unfair and unjust they do not cover all the testing that is required to do to get an engine approved and then still having to replace the engine afterwards

Let a B tech try this. It would take 2 days. Plus the compression test. Valve clearance and a tech line photo array

They need to make the labor times somewhat fair closer to what they were before they were cut.
