Its All About the Animals

Two employees are attacking the fine character and clear accomplishments of

  • Co-Founder and Director of PASF; Valerie Fausone
  • Co-Founder and Executive Director; Jeff Charter
  • Devan Amundsen; Certified Dog Trainer and Behavior Consultant Dog Care Coordinator.

The hostile work environment created undermines the mission of our shelter, to provide Petaluma’s animal with a safe, healthy and humane shelter and adoption agency.

We ask the Petaluma Animal Services Foundation Board to protect our animals and preserve our shelter’s accomplishments by reinstating Valerie Talcott Fausone as Director of PASF.

We ask that Jeff Charter, co-founder of PASF, a longtime dedicated Animal Control Officer and Director of Finances be properly respected and his reputation and career restored by a retraction and apology by the Argus.

Accusations of mismanagement of funds and abuse of power in the Argus article December 21, 2017 have no basis proved by an independent auditor and will be corrected by better investigative reporting.

Devan Amundsen has been falsely accused of animal cruelty - allegedly by one staff member. This tarnishes his reputation and must be resolved.

The Board of Directors is respectfully asked to consider this petition and to retain and provide workplace counseling to facilitate better relations between staff, director and the Board.

Our shelter can continue to achieve excellence if provided with support the staff and Executive Director need to do their jobs.

Please help! Our Shelter’s future animals lives are dependent on us.
