Responsible housing development must take into account environmental impact.

Why am I signing this from Germany, you might ask? Because the effects of destroying forests and wetlands have an impact on the global climate, so it's relevant even for me in Germany.

Wetlands are our best tool for carbon sequestration, destroying them accelerates climate change

This will have a major effect on traffic congestion which already exists in this area. It will also greatly slow response times for emergency services.

Please put the people first over development. Surely, you can find a way to address all the environmental and social impact! The current proposal is unacceptable.

Our area cannot physically support the amount of traffic these homes would bring. South Mountain road is also not state maintained. There is already so much traffic coming off of 1010 and from people using South Mountain as a cut through to adjoining neighborhoods that it is a hazard to walk or bike on the roads during much of the day. Keep our area safe for families and kids and reject this proposal.

Cars already drive above the speed limit in our neighborhood as they cut through to Eagle Ridge. With many kids in the neighborhood I’m concerned about the level of traffic this will bring and safety of our kids, especially on a street with no sidewalks, among other things.

This is unacceptable. Traffic created by this change will drastically reduce our quality of life in the neighborhood and make it unsafe to take walks.

We already have way too much traffic and speeders cutting through from other neighborhoods. Not safe to add more.

We have lived on Landsburg Drive for almost 30 years. We have witnessed the exponential growth in our area of the county, particularly in the past five years. Traffic on 1010 is already a challenge for our community to enter/leave our subdivision. With the recent addition of a stoplight on 1010 and Fanny Brown Road (just a few yards from the Wynford Place subdivision entrance) it is very difficult to take a left turn when leaving at several key times during the day. Our primary concern is the exponential increase of traffic coming through our subdivision if this development proceeds. We will have traffic backed up in front of our homes waiting to break into the traffic on 1010. If the land is to be developed it should be for larger homes on 1 acre + lots to compliment the communities already established here. Fewer homes...less traffic issues. It is NOT feasible to consider the two streets in Wynford Place and South Mountain as sufficient for a development of this size. Please do not allow this to proceed as proposed.

It's unsafe to walk on our streets now due to high volume of traffic using S. Mountain to enter Eagle Ridge, speed limit signs not obeyed, and pedestrians not given right away on roadways. Our roads are not wide enough to accommodate semis and dump trucks for the years of impending construction. Traffic and safety is my biggest concerns! QOL, wild life, and noise are my second concerns. I want to advocate for a nature park with greenways. Garner will not let the property sit, so how can we make it the best case scenario. 4000-5000 in a 1 mile radius would LOVE a park. How can we get all these other neighborhoods involved to request that?

I am against this new development being allowed. The volume of traffic through South Mountain is already a hazard and adding more traffic will impact the safety and well being of residents.

This is ridiculous! Our traffic is already horrendous and the wildlife who have already been losing huge amounts of living space will be on our front porches!

This would be devastating for our neighborhood and street traffic.

Part of south mountain road is not state maintained. Construction traffic will tear up this road and we don't know who will pay to fix it. They need another entrance through Caddy Rd. I wonder if it's a condition on the sale of the property not to put an entrance there.

No way , neighborhood not designed for additional traffic

My main concerns are traffic, the proposed connection to the privately maintained South Mountain Drive and the impact on home values.

Traffic is a major concern coming into Landsburg Dr and attempting to exit on to Ten Ten where it is already nearly impossible to get out at certain times with only 36 homes. Disruption to quality of life being at a dead end is another major concern as well as home value with smaller homes and properties. At minimum should consider homes in sizes and lots that would increase the value of neighborhoods in close proximity, particularly any proposed as a cut through. The traffic issues alone in addition to landlocked acreage proposed for building demands other alternatives to be considered. It would seem much more reasonable to construct access points through the new developments off of 401/Fayetteville Rd to Caddy Rd, where the previous owner used as an entry point in prior years. Disrupting quieter and smaller more mature neighborhoods should be not be allowed in the new development proposals. It has deteriorated the quality of life in places where this has been done.
