The committee to the establish the New Nation of Kush founded and spearheaded by Mr. W. L. Neal respectfully submit this petition to the United Nations and the African Union to accept the application to petition for a New Nation that will be called Nation of Kush which will be established in an area currently located on the border with Southern Egypt and Northern Sudan which is presently called Bir Tawil.

The area was resulted from a discrepancy between the straight political boundary between Egypt and Sudan established in 1899, and the irregular administrative boundary established in 1902. Egypt asserts the political boundary, and Sudan asserts the administrative boundary, with the result that the Hala'ib Triangle is claimed by both, and Bir Tawil by neither. It was therefore terra nullius, a no man’s land.

The constitution of the African Union imposes clear obligations on the acceptance of any country within the continent. We are respectfully requesting that the African Union adhere to its obligations regarding the constitution it established by consensus. The constitution requires all member state including the new countries to be treated as one without distinction of any kind, including race, language or religion.
We therefore request the United Nations and African Union to consider the present petition and also express the hope that the organizations will recognize and will welcome the New Nation of Kush into the community of nations The Applicants will be ready to submit any other document when invited to do respectfully so.
