The traffic density in this area has already exceeded the road capacities. Continuing to squeeze houses into available land is not sustainable. The increased tax base does not warrant these zoning changes.

We need more green space, not new homes. STOP over crowding Cobb especially West Cobb! A nice park sounds way better.

Before making a decision on this matter, I request that you document and observe morning drop off (7:15-7:50 am) and afternoon pick up (2:15-2:35 pm) at Due West Elementary School. You can park at Daily Grind and watch the action. Please also plan to observe the parking lot itself, and entry/exit points at Lost Mountain Middle School, which runs adjacent to Burnt Hickory on Old Mountain Road. Be sure to arrive in time for car line at 4:15 pm. I hope you are not in a hurry to leave. And please don't neglect to observe morning and afternoon drop off and pick up at Harrison High School. The traffic situation is already bordering on chaos, but the impact high density housing will have on the classrooms at Due West Elementary School will be intolerable. If this is approved, please do share the plan to provide funding for the substantial construction that will be required at Due West Elementary as the school is currently bursting at the seams. Please reject this plan.

How I wish this could remain pastureland....but certainly do NOT want the R-30 to become R-20! Our roads already see gridlock much too frequently.

This move would have a huge negative impact on the value of my home on Burnt Hickory. It would also cause more of a problem with. Traffic issue at the school as well as artery choke as Burnt Hickory already has a huge population of Paulding county commuters coming to and from work.
I also have concerns that the builders would be able to maintain the 25 foot buffer that will be needed at the creek. In most residential job sites there are more erosion control breeches than properly maintained containment systems. I will be installing a turbidity meter upstream and downstream during construction if this zoneing passes. These results will be forwarded to the State DEQ.

I strongly oppose rezoning this parcel to a more dense use than was originally planned by our county commissioners who have done a great job protecting the value of our properties.

The application to rezone 86 acres of farmland next door to Dominion Christian School on Burnt Hickory Rd. from 3/4 acre lots to 3 homes per acre does not follow the Land Use Plan and its extreme density is out of character for West Cobb. I ask you to respect the current Plan and reject this proposal.

No No No to the rezoning of the property on Burnt Hickory Road I live on Burnt Hickory only a mile from this property. I am saddened by the destruction of so much of the land in Cobb. My grandfather owned a farm on Stilesboro in the sixties so I have seen the over development first hand for many years. Stop this before none of us and able to even pull out of the driveway for traffic. Burnt Hickory is one of the few roads in Cobb that still holds some of the beauty of its former past.
