PETITION AGAINST LIQUOR LICENSE FOR DIAMOND HEAD DENNY'S WAIKIKI

I am also concerned of possible holdover, homeless, loitering, car breakins on Makee Ailana grounds due to convenience of being a neighboring building. It also would cause harm to those of us attempting to sell our condos at this time that may prevent interested buyers

Get this Denny's liquor license outta here!!!!! First off. Terrible use of the land. Prob be outta business in 5 years cause baby boomers won't leave their house and millennials go to restaurants with real food not chains. Japanese don't care about Dennys they rather wait in long line at Eggs N Things. Shoulda built some housing and parking with a 24 hr fitness cause they stole that one and are replacing it with some fancy smansy gym like u need a nice place to sweat..... No liquor at the Denny's jus ur grand slam breaky brah!!!!!! All those tourists gonna say 'where we get alcohol at this time? (1am)' oh dennys right there bruh get drunk n make the drunken noise at 2 am right n the streets w people sleeping n their house next door. They gotta work in the morning we no care we drunk. I am against this proposed liquor license at this location because of its proximity to schools, and residences.

I am an owner of a condominium in the building next to the Denny's site.

There should not be a restaurant or bar at this location so close to an elementary school and adjacent residential condos where children and working adults live. I have lived in Waikiki in the past, now live 'uphill' in Palolo.

The children and families of Waikiki deserve better than this.

How disappointing that the quiet corner will now be a Denny’s open for late night dining. Even if they say they will stop serving alcohol at 10pm, they can always change their mind later on. Denny’s, like IHOP, is a breakfast establishment and doesn’t need liquor to attract customers. This request for a license makes no sense , especially knowing that it’s next to a school!

As condo residents we must already put up with frequent 2am drunken fights and behaviors...more it unthinkable.

I live next door and support the business, but do not support the sale of alcohol here. There are already enough intoxicated people yelling and screaming when the bars close at 2am that we don't need more. And this close to a school is inexcusable.

Please do not allow alcohol to be sold so close to a school. Please keep the neighborhood safe and secure for the community.

Owner of a unit in the nearby Parkview condominium. I oppose the sale of hard liquor at Denny's.

We need to protect our public schools from commercial interests that may attract negative and harmful activities.

There is already a huge problem with loud drunks in this area, no need to make liquor available all day beginning from 6am. This establishment is directly across from a school, which makes the idea of a 6am-2am liquor license even more absurd.

Why does a Denny's need to serve hard liquor?!?! Won't the $9 draft beers and $13 chardonnay be enough? This liquor license request is by all accounts a tone deaf idea - based purely on a business model. The people requesting this license do not live here, do not know the area, and for that matter, don't care about the well-being of the neighborhood they are entering. And it's across the street from an elementary school! To the people serving on the Liquor Commission... How would you like it if I requested a liquor license for an establishment next to your house, your place of worship, and next to your children's school? You have the opportunity to vote down this poorly thought-out idea. Please vote it down.

Denny's as an early morning or late night diner is fine. The addition of hard liquor is solely to add incremental revenue to a marginal placement that will not offer parking and is in an area where homeless vagrants seem to be in interminable problem for police resources and this does nothing to improve their ability to address existing problems. Adding alcohol will not be a step in the right direction.

Very concerned that this will attract the wrong type of predatory derelicts already infiltrating our neighborhood. Why cater to the late nighters with an extended liquor license? It will surely be a nuisance. Our end of Waikiki is out of control. Police say they "cannot do anything" to get rid of drunks & vagrants. - "talk to bureaucrats!" This extended hours licensing is just asking for more trouble.

I don't want loud drunk people coming and going outside my bedroom windows at all hours of the day and night!
