No no liquor at Dennys

Stop the excess!

Denny's is NOT an alcohol related establishment...it's family oriented. Shame on you for even considering to serve alcohol across the street from an elementary school,

This is not just for Dennys but for all other fast-food chain that could follow if it the license is granted. Heck, they should just order take out and eat their burgers with their beer at home!

Enough with alcohol and certainly not near schools.

As a parent of a child attending Jefferson Elementary School located right across the street of the venue requesting a license to sell and serve liquor I AM AGAINST that from happening at this establishment and for any other establishment in close and direct view of K-12 schools. Granting this license shows the lack of regard for the health and safety of our most valuable and precious resources, our children. Other similar venues from the same company, operated successfully without having a liquor license, this one can too. Don't sell out our future generations to greed, and corruption. I urge you to stand firm AGAINST granting them this license in perpetuity, as well as any other venues located in such close proximity to any K-12 school. We have 4 children in our family, two are Jefferson Elementary students and two are college students with working parents. 1. We vote against liquor license for Dennys as it will put safety of our children in jeopardy. We will never know who will be around our cars parked on 1st floor as well who is around when our children walk to and from the school. Our building has three level of non secure and open parkings, where ppl can get from Kuhio Avenue and Cartwright street. We will never know if any drank ppl will lay next to our car or brake in!!!!! Can you amagine all of this while kids and parents will be in rash to school or work. 2. Also the level of the noise will be extreme high as drank ppl will be walking around and yelling as well police will be here often with sirens, which will disturb our children and our night sleep. It will make kids feel tired and not ready to learn, as well us, parent, tired to do quality job at work. It, in another hand, will effect our society quality of life as well work service level. 3. Also, there is a bus stop just across of the future Dennys. As well, only one beautiful Zoo on the island! Our bus stop will became a stop for drank ppl and will disturb working ppl and children, and decrease their safety in the bus as well on the bus stop. We don't have SCHOOL BUSSES here in Hawaii! Our children safety in Waikiki is crutial! 4. It is a possibility that car accidents will be occurring on the corner of Kapahulu and Kuhio Ave, where is a traffic light. There are only two pedestrian crossing places for people and children going to school, to the Zoo, to the beach and Kapiolani Park. If that crossing will be closed due to drank people accidents, there will be no way for people to walk to school or bus stops. That means that kids will be late to school, ppl to work, and it's very unsafe for our tourists. 5. Honolulu Zoo! this is the kids place (with Keiki Zoo and playground) and high turnover of tourists with kids.

Aloha. I work in Waikiki for a hotel company so I understand the importance of the travel industry and providing accommodations, food options and entertainment for guests however I don't think it should be at the expense of our keiki. I have a daughter that is a student at Jefferson Elementary. We have a federal law where people are not allowed to deal drugs so many feet near a school. We have a state law the prohibits people from smoking on campus. We should have a law or a ban that alcohol sales and consumption should be a good distance away from school grounds. It shouldn't be across the street from a school.

It's supposed to be SAFE for students to travel to and from school each day!

Do not grant Denny's a liquor license.

My children spend enough sleepless nights week in and week out with crazed-out drunks roaming our streets screaming at the top of their voices. Why add to that potential, as this is a residential area alongside it being a school zone.

Please consider the community impact as this application will contribute, promote, allow and extend additional drinking options in a predominantly established residential ecosystem. The potential for negative impact is high extending residential sensitivities including: additional noise, parking congestions, loitering, theft, vagrant accumulation, visual impacts and overall area beautification. Your personal consideration is appreciated when making this long term community decision.

Please deny this license or issue a beer and wine license with restricted hours. This locations is across the street from Jefferson Elementary and is merely feet from the school. There is not enough parking for a place of this size and will impact the Zoo parking and possibly impacting their ability to make money. The license should not be allowed to stay if Denny's doses not survive. Please consider NOT issuing the current license for a full bar and restrict the time as well allowed for them to serve. They also are not contemplating security that bars have or hotel's have. Even Hotels restrict outdoor food and liquor consumption to certain hours. Hotel bars close at 10pm, Even the Hilton's bars and restaurants stop serving at 10pm. Please follow the same rules and laws for the residents of this area.

Please think of our keiki/community and refrain from granting 20 hour liquor license. As a compromise, beer and wine served during 11:30am lunch through dinner till 10:00pm should suffice.

1. Bars/alcohol do not belong in neighborhoods in this close proximity to T. E. Jefferson Elementary school--it is just an accident waiting to happen. 2/ loitering/vagrancy by inebriated customers 3/ litter 4/ noise at all hours from inebriated customers
