My technology/science teacher went on multiple of these voyages and has benefited from it. He has learned much from this experience and has shared this knowledge with us, furthering our knowledge and his.

Please do not eliminate such a worthy and valuable program. It is one of the most quality programs for teachers that I have been fortunate enough to participate in.

This program is too valuable and too important to lose. If we are serious about implementing a STEM approach to science education we need programs like this!t

I was just telling someone yesterday that my TAS experience was the highlight of my 35 yr career! What a shame it would be for this to go away. Teacher at Sea IS STEM! My students were enriched beyound words and I really feel like we will have some marine biologists out of this group. It is so hard to give students a real life science experience. Please don't take this away!!

NOAA TAS Is STEM Education in its purest form. For the last 25 years, this program has brought in the latest scientific tools, understandings, and mysteries into classrooms. This is the core of STEM and what drives authentic understanding and curiosity in our future generations.

Continue to allow educators the opportunity to experience science at sea. They then inturn are able to bring it to our students and make connections, which bring science to life for these young people.

This is a great program. A teacher at my school went on it, and it was an incredible experience for her. It needs to stay!

Not only does this program advance the mission science and stewardship objectives of NOAA by introducing teachers and ALL of their students to NOAA science, it also promotes the role of education within the agency. As a former Teacher at Sea alumni, I observed first hand the interest and excitement of the NOAA scientists and ship crew members about their science reaching students across the country.
