The park and the trees have been a substancial part of the neighborhood life. Cutting the trees and building parkings do not contribute to the quality of life of DC.

Does Maret plan to compensate for the Earth's global warming crisis somehow? Wake up we have a serious problem going on!

Actions speak louder than words Maret. Be a considerate and reasonable neighbor to the community you want to be a part of.

Don’t cut tress until plans are finally approved.

We cannot understand how a city so devoted to its tree canopy would allow such a catastrophic event to occur with its attenuating negative impact on our air quality and watershed. The sheer enormity of removing this many trees from a single confined area should be cause for greater review and scrutiny by city officials.

Please don't destroy the trees. Think of the animals whose home is the field.

Please don't destroy these trees before you get final authorization.

Please model good stewardship of our natural resources for your students. I urge you not to remove these trees needlessly and certainly not without proper authorization.

Please wait until the BZA orders are issued so we know the permits will be issued before cutting down and moving the trees

It is arrogant and presumptive for Maret to start cutting down the trees.n They bare not the property owners, just lease holders.

I fully support this petition. The issues over the ECC site are completely solvable without resort to the environmentally hostile stripping and leveling of the land that Maret intends. A viable compromise plan that is environmentally friendly has been proposed, but Maret has declared their plans “non-negotiable.” What a horrible example for their students.

Sneaking ahead with tree removal on that scale is harmful to the environment and to neighborhood relations.
