And more importantly a special young man who I am proud to call a friend.

It's the least that can be done for someone who gave so much to the Philo soccer program - should have been done along time ago.

He was a very loved teacher! Not a mean bone in his body. He didn't deserve to die the way he did. But he fought a good fight. And he deserves this! ❤️

My son played soccer for Coach Brown. He was a beloved Coach, teacher, and friend. He deserves this honor. Many young men sheded tears over his passing and hopefully naming the field after Matt will show his young son just how loved his father was.

Not because this was something that he wanted... as Matt was one of the most humble and grateful individuals that I have ever met. But because it is something small that will remind us, and educate others, about a man who set an amazing example for all to follow through his passion to serve others, through the game he loved, in teaching life's most valuable lessons of strength, resiliency, love and faith. As his borrowed motto went, "What can Brown do for you?" this is what we can do for him, by continuing to share his story in teaching future generations the lessons he taught us. God bless #MB18
