On Friday 13th of November, terror attacks shook Paris to its core. This senseless violence resonated with all of us across the globe. Dublin Roller Derby were shocked and deeply saddened to hear that La Boucherie de Paris roller derby team lost one of their family - Lola Salines (Josie Ozzbourne #109).
Roller Derby is a sport like no other with such a sense of community that we all felt the loss of one of our kind. In honour of Lola and all of the victims of the attacks, we ask you to commit to a random act of kindness. Let's fight hatred with kindness. So sign the petition then comment telling us what random act of kindness you have or are going to do. Then share it so more people can join in fighting hatred
Our target is 109 random acts of kindness but of course the more, the better.

Gonna knit some hats and cardis for premature babies. This is such a lovely way to remember Lola
My random act of kindness will be paying it forward at the coffee shop on my way to Derby for the next few weeks--RIP #109 <3
A beautiful act of remembrance - well done!! I will be making a donation to a refugee charity and pay for someone behind me in the Costa drive-thru.
RIP hun...And my deepest regrets to her family and friends. I promise to give all 3 of my old sleeping bags to the homeless in Dublin...take care of each other roller derby lovers.
I saved around 500 Euro from not smoking and I wanted to go on vacation from that. In the lights of the recent events this will all be donated to various help projects including some RD leagues.
My random act of kindness will be to help the first person I see in Dublin tomorrow that is struggling - be it getting a homeless person a cup of tea or carrying someones shopping. I will try my best :)
I am donating clothes and sleeping bags to the homeless in my city to keep them warm this winter.

We HAVE TO laugh, play, drink, kiss, hug and still play roller derby the way we are already doing it. For Lola. Because her humour and her smile would have wanted that. Let's play roller derby, guys.
