Very dangerous area to cross

Dear Sir/Madam, I hereby sign my petition to help us cross this road safely with our kids, as of now everyone are risking their safety while crossing. Thank you and hoping for your kind consideration.

I am the mother of a two year old boy who goes twice a week to children’s classes at Power Gym in UE square. Sometimes my son also attends with our helper. There is no safe way to cross this very busy intersection! It is far too dangerous. Please create an safe intersection before someone gets hurt. Thank you

Do we really need to wait for an accident to happen before LTA put in a system? There’s a school nearby, a mall filled with activities for children. We need to get a system in place to ensure safe traffic for everyone. I’ve seen cars turning without any signal, going at full speed and it’s incredibly dangerous when there’s no traffic light or zebra crossing installed.

It makes complete common sense to try to have more zebra crossings in the river valley area particularly for the safety of my children. Thanks.

This is much needed intervention by the authorities as a priority. We have witnessed vehicles going against traffic during peak period, and previously reported it to the Traffic Police together with video footage of the violation.

Really necessary for the children’s safety. I always feel it’s dangerous. Some drivers doesn’t pay enough attention to passengers.

I agree that this junction clearly needs a traffic light, if not a zebra crossing. The same goes for the crossing between Kim yam road and Mohamad Sultan Road. Can the authorities please look into this to ensurew the safety of our children.

it is so dangerous i have been living here for over 5 years and have seen so many aggressive taxi drivers driving as if they want to run everyone over at the T secton - it is hard to look at which side to look because taxis just come out flying from everywhere

This is a busy road, especially at rush hour and is impossible to cross with a pushchair. There is also a sign for UE square on the corner of one road and restricts the view to cross. My helper feels that the crossing is so unsafe that she will not go to UE with my baby

This junction is extremely dangerous in its current condition. It is jammed with cars in the morning and late afternoon when the kids are going to/from school and I have witnessed bumps, near misses and a lot of confusion for cars and pedestrians alike. You need some traffic controls to sort out the mess.

I had approached lta myself 5 years back but the officer informed me to cross using the divider which was an unacceptable response given I had 2 kids at that time. ( now I have 3) this is long overdue for the safety of kids crossing between the buildings

Cars and taxis have no consideration. Something must be done before a tragedy occurs.

Long overdue, very dangerous rd for pedestrians

This is a very busy junction due to its proximity to Clemenceau Avenue. Traffic approaches from four different directions at once, often at high speeds. There is no safe place to cross, so please install a zebra crossing or some traffic lights so that the many children attempting to get across this junction every day can do so safely.

3 of my children are in Superland preschool. My elderly in-laws help to bring them to school.

This is a very dangerous crossing at which cars come from all directions at very high speeds. My son crosses this everyday for school and it is always a heart-in-mouth moment. Please do this for the safety of our children. Thank you.
