Request for Khalifa University to modify their plans in relation to Final Exams and Final Grades for the fall semester.

I will have to take a covid test to give my final exams because I don’t live in Abu Dhabi. what if it decides to show positive in the first day of my final exam, I can’t postpone my exams and risk my family members.

Are you ready to hold responsibility for ANY new covid case because of this decision? Are you sure we will be 100% safe? People are doing their best to stay safe and when the number of cases increased you decided to bring us?? Do you have any idea about how tired the students are? Already having many quizzes assignments midterms and projects. For years.. I’m tired of life already so help us a little this time..

I will not drive from Sharjah to AUH and back every few days for an exam and constantly get tested in the process. #KUcovid

we need p/f for the whole courses

It is very hard to study the whole term online and then have to go to uni for finals. A lot of us come from far away places. Also, the option to choose the course I want to pass/fail before taking the final is completely unfair.

First of all i’m from Ras Alkhaima so i’ll have to stay in dorms , which basically is very hard since we all have roommates and that is very dangerous , another thing is that my parents are old and they’re sick and I can’t risk their live for that Even though you’ll say I may isolate my self after going back home , which i can’t do!

based on what criteria are you determining risk level? Because according to the UAE government and the CDC criteria, its currently high risk level.

You can apply for pass or fail without knowing wether you’ll pass or fail... yep! This is big brain time Having a whole year online only to give us the final exam that literally decides our fate on campus is like the old saying “doing give me fish, but teach me how to use a fishing rod”... except you’ve been giving me fish for 70 years and now you expect me to do it on my own Think more than twice before making decisions like that, we have a future ahead of us, let’s not miss chances for some dumb decisions

I dont think the p/f is fair. Under all these circumstances the least thing can be done is to provide p/f for all courses. Be more considerate towards your students don't just announce that you'll be understanding when you do the opposite. The ONLY thing you can do is to at least provide p/f for all courses. The sudden change to on campus examination should be considered too.

It’s really unreasonable how we can decide which course it need for pass/fail if we didn’t even see the last grade

Please review the announcement again and take it into your consideration. It is really unreasonable conditions for students to have the finals on campus and allowing only one subject with p/f grade.

The whole thing is not fair! Teachers and registration are not considering how this is effecting our mental health! We are given more assignments, quizzes and hws than before! We have no time to rest!!!!
