Request for Khalifa University to modify their plans in relation to Final Exams and Final Grades for the fall semester.

Hope this will make them reconsider their announcement

I believe that Khalifa University should be considering how it hard it is for us students to learn online and do exams online. It’s not easy at all, it needs more work than attending university. Focusing and sitting down for a long time is hard for us students, solving examples online is also not easy so they should so they need to make things easier for us not make it harder. Specially during online classes sitting down almost the whole day on your laptop is hard and not good for our health but we are trying our best. I believe we have the rights to repeat the exams for those who had trouble and because of that failed. The university should be lenient on us not make things harder, we are working hard but we have limits. Thank you.

As stated, a quick change from the online environment to real class paper based exams will have drastic effect on the students final performance.

I regret not choosing the US and staying to study in the country. Decisions are mad and you cant even finish the bachelors early. Other global and local universities offer 2 summer courses while this university offers 1 with classes reaching its maximum capacity in 10 seconds. On top of that, the new decision that really lowers our status considering the high risk which you guys believe its moderate, but according to the criteria you made and shared with us it should be considered high. I dont know what to say or leave. Some professors really know how to teach an online course but they are very rare and others are not that good in delivering the information. How come this decision is made ? On top of the totally unreasonable P/F system. Another point is saturday classes where I usually use this day to prepare for my courses and note down all information with finishing assignments and projects and studying for exams. The true taste of studying on saturday is that i study in a good mood without worrying about anything and now its taken without compensation, and i have to drive to abudhabi to take the finals wow

In the previous semester we had final exams as online while Covid-19 cases were one third of the cases today. Some of us got chronic disease and most of us living with old people! Not mentioning how the fear and the face mask during an examination might effect on a the student performance! I’m kindly request the university to reconsider please.

It did not make since that I have to choose the course I want to p/f in before I see my final grade how do I know I need a p/f in this course not another course and the way final exam will be it’s not good even if we are wearing a mask this will not guarantee that we will not get COVID 19 as a person who experience it I have my aunt and my cousins that do not get out at all even us as a family did not see them much in quarantine also they are all work and study online they still get the virus , we still can’t figure out from where they got it. Plus we are from other Emirates it will be hard for us to stay in a dorm and not all of us can stay in a hotel.

The risk level is high based on the risk levels provided by the university and it states that the capacity of the students should be 0%. I have my grandparent and children in my home, I don’t wish to endanger their health.

It is to risky to take exams on-campus. Also P/F is. Ot use-full for one subject and before the finals.

Totally unfair and unreasonable

P/F for only 1 course makes absolutely no sense at all! What's the point?? Due to the new modes of examinations this pandemic had forced on us, P/F was introduced to cover the damages that the exams that the instructors created, caused on the grades of the students (instructors without NO experience in making and adjusting online tests and test settings). So by only allowing 1 course to be opted for P/F, you are suggesting that only all the courses except for 1, had its exams done fairly and with rules exactly like the previous years exams done on campus. THIS IS A NOT TRUE. Math exam questions always require long steps and asking for only the final answer for 30 marks is not normal! P/F should be made for ALL COURSES!
