KEEP THE CHILDREN AND TEACHERS IN SCHOOL AND STOP LIVING IN FEAR OF A LENGTHY QUARANTINE

I personally feel the guidelines should be less restrictive than what is outlined here, but I support the spirit of this petition and think the current guidelines are unsustainable and short-sighted.

You are so right. Keep our kids in school. The kids are not learning from zoom classes. It just makes them more and more restless.

Students should not have more restrictions than adults. We must isolate positives only and learn to live with this so we can give our kids their lives back.

Why do my child have to stay away from school and wear a mask while sat at their desk when she is fully vaccinated with a safe key. Keep our schools open and give the children freedom to breathe.

Get children and teachers to school asap! Test and trace leads to deadend. Vaccines and herd immunity is all is needed

The letters that I sent to the Ministers and Head of Schools talks more in detail on these points you mention above. In efforts to keep the petition short and for the general public I left some of the specifics out. But in my proposal, few students would be classified as associated contact through school, therefore, keeping most children and teachers in the classroom.

I love and agree with the spirit of this. I don’t necessarily agree with all the numbers on days to quarantine, who administers tests etc, but with the spirit. I would add - we need smaller, more controlled bubbles during spikes, to ensure the “associated contacts” do not = entire grade years/ schools.

Let’s move on from this and work collaboratively to find a way more reasonable solution.
