I'm in 7th grade but I think we should keep the class! I was planning on taking it in highschool.

Musical theater is not only bonding for students, but brings together the school and surrounding community in a very positive way. It develops confidence in students and allows for a variety of artistic talents to come together - set design, choir, dance, orchestra, AV kids, prop masters, acting - there is a role for everyone! Please reconsider and keep musical therater alive and well at Vandergrift!

1998 alumni here! Fine arts are what we are known for. Some of my fondest memories were watching my classmates in theater productions. Do not remove this program.

Fine arts - at ALL commitment levels - are critical for our youth. They are struggling in so many ways. And it’s bad enough that VHS won’t let students be in band and athletics, two sports they love, etc. if a student desires to express themselves in a low commitment theater class and also pursue other extracurricular, please don’t take THAT from them too.

Musical theatre teaches more than just singing and acting. Musical theatre contributes to the students success. Coupled with academics, it adds elements to the students development that academics cannot do alone.
