Assets are assets and theft is theft. This appears a to be a clear cut case of felony grand larceny. It would be wrong for this individual to to be convicted of less than someone that shoplifted a $400 IPOD.

Stealing this quantity of product should in no way be eligible for reduction to a misdemeanor. This individual should be prossicuted to the fullest extent of the law and made an example that this type of crime will not be tolerated.

Persons must be held accountable

I fully support the Del Dotto petition. It is unconscionable that Jeff Hill get off lightly, having stolen so much from Del Dotto.

I support Mr. Del Dotto's request not wanting Mr. Hill's charges to be reduced to a misdemeanor. Grand theft is not a minor charge and the punishment should match the crime. The loss of income to Del Dotto winery will be felt for years to come in his business and throughout the wine industry. Theft affects all of us and we pay higher consumer prices because of it. He clearly deserves more than a slap on the wrist and a misdemeanor conviction would be just that.

If Mr. Hill is allowed to get away with this theft it sets a dangerous precidence for future situations. He should not be allowed to bump down to a misdemeanor. He should suffer the consequences of his actions.

THeft is theft, it was organized, and done maliciously, cause a loss of property and / $$. This should NOT be dismissed or lowered to a misdemeanor.

It seems that our laws are only to protect the guilty and punish the innocent. When are we going to say "ENOUGH." I beg the courts to set an example and impose the maximum sentencing to Jeff Hill otherwise this type and other similar types of crimes will continue. Sincerely, Marcus V. Graziano

The court should not entertain reducing the crime from a felony to a misdemeanor. Such a reduction sends the wrong message about the crime committed and will have no deterrent effect on those contemplating similar crimes.

Mr. Hill has been arrested for two felonies, grand theft for hijacking Del Dotto grapes on two occasions.
What is the DA's problem, sure drop one charge but the other should stand as a felony with extreme prejudice. Send a message Judge Boessenecker, this will not be tolerated!

The theft should definitely be a felony and not a misdemeanor offense. It would certainly be a shame if Mr. Hill was let off after committing such a serious offense.
