Speak out to the Napa DA in support of just punishment for felons who steal grapes

It is appalling that this could be treated as a misdemeanor. If this was a 19 year old black kid in Oakland who stole a $25,000 car, he would be facing felony charges and locked away for years. Mr. Hill should not have his charges reduced. This was an act of malice.

Mr. Hill must think he just won the lottery. A more just and honorable approach is punishment to the full extent permitted by law.

Stealing is a crim . We are taught this when we are young. Why should we blur the lines on the law? There is no plea bargain that should be struck, nor a lesser sentence. Stealing is stealing punishable by a heavy consequence. That's the law.

Wow how could $800,000 worth of theft be considered a misdemeanor in anyway shape or form.? It should absolutely be a felony. Also criminal trespassing and grand theft penalties should be very stiff. What a jerk.

Property theft should be prosecuted to the greatest extent possible, especially when it is of this magnitude. Full restitution should also be required for the previous theft too.

Mr. Hill's Grand Theft should NOT be reduced to a misdemeanor. Mr. Hill's admitted theft should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. He has deprived the Del Dotto family of deserved revenue and its many fans the pleasure of experiening the harvest he stole.
