Red Dragon Cartel - Patina LP for Grammy submission 2019
Jake E Lee is one of the most celebrated, admired, copied, yet humble and dedicated rock/blues/metal guitarists of the past 35 years. His work with so many famous and game changing bands and artists has made him a true legend worldwide. In 2018, after taking himself out of the spotlight for many years, Jake, with the help from his pal Tyler Esposito and great bassist, producer, arranger (as well as member of several legendary bands), Anthony Esposito with long time RDC singer Darren James Smith and newest RDC drummer Phil Varone of the bands Saigon Kick and Skid Row, came together on Anthony's farm in Dillsburg, PA to create a genre busting, multi-colored, true musical journey of an LP called "PATINA". The record, spawned four singles, Havana, Bitter, Crooked Man and Speedbag, each with its own unique video showcasing different sides to the band's personality and spirit. The record went on to become a fan favorite and each of the videos had views well over 200,000 on YouTube with little to almost no big spend on advertising. A fantastic, well attended, U.S. and Japanese tour was then booked and conquered and the band went back home to assess its future plans.
The reason this fan created petition exists is to allow Red Dragon Cartel and the monster talent's of Jake E Lee to finally get his/their due and help PATINA get recognized by the academy. PATINA touched a lot of people, from all over the globe, and many consider it the best thing Jake has done since his glory days in Badlands. This album was meticulously crafted by world class musicians, producers and engineers. It will stand up against the high standards set for Grammy winning albums. Therefore it should be a Grammy nominee for 2019.

The sonic textures and nuanced compositions found on "Patina" are a treasure to any music lover. The album feels refreshing and unformulaic when compared to the offerings by modern peers, and far exceeds anything being produced by any musicians that cut their teeth during the '80s.
The members of Red Dragon Cartel created an extraordinary album with "Patina." It's one of the few albums released in 2018 that delivers the best of mainstream rock with a blues edge.
HUGE group of us that GREATLY prefer organic music made by humans. We don't care about your "record company project vocalist", drum machines and digitized crap. This music should be EVERYWHERE and gets NO help from any media.

Jake E. Lee’s contributions to music has been overlooked for many years. The man is making real music. No auto tune no samplers and computers. Jake and his group deserve some recognition.
