John F. Kennedy High School has been without a modified cheerleading program for years. Beginning in the winter season of 2015, the Varsity Cheerleading team competed for the first time in over 10 years. Gaining 1st place titles at the 2016 and 2017 Fall ECIC Cheerleading Championships. Coach Dosch believe it is time for the modified program to come back, to help this growing program to continue to thrive. To give athletes the basics of cheerleading prior to entering the Varsity program, and to give athletes another sport to participate in at the great offerings at JFK.
JFK needs this! My daughter has been dying to get started and waiting until high school is way too late to learn the technique.
