Too much density

This proposal should not be approved. The proposed rezoning would adversely affect the surrounding neighborhoods in multiple ways including traffic problems and reduction of property values. The proposal to remove most of the mature trees from the property alone is reason to not approve this plan.

Seems like a terrible idea, and one that puts the desire of the city for more revenue ahead of the people who are already paying (huge) property taxes to live in a nice neighborhood.

This proposal is a miscarriage of common sense zoning concepts. The mere fact of the permanent traffic increase that this project will introduce into the area should be a clear deterrent to this inflated concept. Instead, those in control would be assuming a more compliant approach to the existing neighborhood quality with a 12 lot plan for this location. The current proposal appears to allow greed to trump good judgment.

I have a conflict with the meeting on 8/31 so can't attend, but am fully supportive of stopping the current rezoning plans

The city has a blatant conflict of interest when city action is required to rezone the property in a manner that is obviously detrimental to the surrounding neighborhood in an attempt to maximize sale proceeds to the city without regard to the inappropriate proposed use of the property. Residential zoning laws exist to protect the character and value of a neighborhood. The high density proposal would have exactly the opposite effect and should not be approved. The city should be responsible for maintaining existing zoning on which area homeowners have relied and which would not preclude a more suitable development that would be endorsed by the area homeowners.

Need to meet current zoning, in order to preserve our neighborhood and property values. It's our neighborhood and we pay and have paid the property taxes for decades.

Residential lots are in high demand in this area. There surely could be an approach that better balances the interests of the city, the neighbors and the developer.

No to rezoning! Gay Donnell Willis should oppose this rezoning request.

No to rezoning! The expansion of the school behind Charlestown Drive bordering our neighborhood on the north has already created traffic nightmares on Nuestra and this would only make it worse. NO TO REZONING!

I oppose high density development in this residential neighborhood.

Because of the density of this plan and the potential traffic issues to an already problematic intersect, I urge the City council to consider alternative projects and am against rezoning for the sake of the neighborhood.

I am strongly opposed to rezoning the vacant residential lots at the corner of Forest and Nuestra. We like our quiet, single-family residential neighborhood with trees, grass, and space between homes the way it is. We do not want high-density or three story housing in our neighborhood.

we have been waiting for years for the development of this lot but the high density option is counterproductive.
