We wrote a letter to the editor to DMN to deny this proposal. So sorry you did not prevail and that your council woman did not stand up to the developers

I think this zoning was pushed through & is not well conceived. While I 100% support development, the overwhelming majority of the homeowners in the neighborhood at least wanted (and deserved) more voice on the plan than they got. Many friends live here, it's a unique neighborhood: I am concerned about this intersection given more density, Forest Lane is already congested. 10 homes times $2.5 would have yielded the city $20,500,000. just a shade under the $26 million this development PROMISES.

No to rezoning. To many people in such a small area. Invasion of privacy by City of Dallas.

Rezoning this land is the wrong decision. A community is defined by its landscape and more residential zoning is opposite of what we need. If the goal is more housing then the answer is to allow accessory dwelling units. Flipping this valuable land into more residential area makes the entire community less walkable and much less desireable. Rezoning the area might lead to a short term boost in value but after 5, 10, 15 years etc. the mistake will be apparent. The goal for this land should be the same as the original intent which was a library or anything else to make the neighborhood walkable and desireable. I understand there is a housing supply problem but the solution is not to ruin a good neighborhood! Keep it the same or change it to a place for the community. Do not allow another mindless apartment developer to ruin our precious landscape.

I am joining the community in opposing this rezoning proposal by made by Forest Park, LLC (Brent Aaron, Bill Davis & Lou Olerio). Keep the residential area beautiful as is with the required setbacks to allow for green-space.

To City of Dallas: Do not increase the density of the area. Do not approve a rezoning. The property should be developed with the current zoning. Sincerely, Paul Lewis

I am against rezoning due to the increased traffic it will cause through my neighborhood, like the increased traffic caused by the changes in the school down the road . I wish the land could be developed into a pocket park.
