There have been no safeguards disclosed against these small, high-density units being sold or rented to anyone other than senior retirees. It has a high chance of becoming a caravan park type home for refugees or low socioeconomic residents that would make the area more like Cobram than Tocumwal

This development conflicts with the direction that tocumwal is going, this will only degrade tocumwals image and negatively impact surrounding housing and infrastructure.

The developer failed to adequately address key community concerns — including pressure on water, medical services, and the future of our airport. Despite this, Council approved the project, ignoring the long-term impact on our town’s infrastructure, economy, and character. This development is not in line with sustainable or locally beneficial growth, and we call for greater transparency, accountability, and immediate reconsideration of this decision.

I’m all for growth and development but the town’s infrastructure needs urgent updates before this starts
