This just seems terribly unfair. Why is it the custody isn't "shared"?
How can the courts penalize a mother or father for deploying? After all they are defending the country.

Just because a mother deploys doesn't mean she shouldn't retain the original custody agreement. What a way to slap our Military moms in the face! If they had 50/50 before deployment, the order should stand when she returns from deployment!

That's bull....that's like saying to her" while your serving our country and being deployed, we will allow the courts to strip you of 15% of your custodial rights & you have to pay $500 a month child support"
That's how she's thanked???? Pretty messed up if you ask me. I pray this is resolved soon for this mother and her child

It is an absolute disgrace that a woman serving her country is losing custody of her child for exactly that fact. Courts should be ashamed of themselves!
