Keep High Density Housing From Encroaching on the Central Park Neighborhood

This building would bring property values down, increase traffic on residential streets, and nlock the view from homes that paid lot premiums for the pind view. I do not want to see it built. We need the open space, not crowd every inch with tall buildings.

this will make the community more crowded now there is no space around the lake everywhere house around the lake

I strongly oppose the new construction due to the negative impact it will have on the property value, due to the increase in traffic resulting in congestion, due to loss of Central Park/lake view that some of us have paid a price for.

This construction will negatively effect our neighborhood by blocking views and and result in decreasing property value.

This location is unsuitable for a senior living facility. The influx of ambulances and regular traffic will be a danger to the abundance of children and pedestrians in the area. I strongly suggest you move this housing project elsewhere.

The area where this is proposed to be built cannot sustain a structure of this size along with increase in traffic and population it will bring to such a small area.

I strongly oppose this construction. 2 years back when central park was inaugurated (costed around $16M, as socialized).. comment was made that the park was added to city long-term plans as “something special” to replace gravel pits. Chuck Stifter, superintendent of parks and planning said..“It’s really going to change the way people use this town.” But with this new construction coming up in the proposed area, will make go absolutely against the vision of the city with respect to central park. The Kirkwood street is supposed to be the overflow parking during summers when people from in and out of the city come to this gorgeous park. But that won’t be true anymore if this construction comes in. This construction will increase the thoroughfare traffic which will make it really un-safe for the residents and especially children and will increase pollution level. Lastly, this “something special ” (central park), won’t remain that as NO ONE would like to bring their kid to another concrete surrounded park surrounded with buildings and lack of fresh air.

We need to keep the area near central park with limited traffic and congestion.

I strongly oppose the construction for same reasons as mentioned by many others. Reiterating a couple..no one wants their home value to decrease and increased traffic around the area will definitely affect the safety of residents especially children.

Please reconsider this development. The integrity of Maple Grove is being compromised by all this over development!

Please keep central park a fun and safe place to bring our children.

We are against the zoning being changed from medium density to high density and the proposed 4-6 story building.

In light of the original plans for this land (one level, lower density community) and the premium paid for lots in the HighGrove townhouse development based on those plans, I DO NOT support the new proposed development. Please honor the original plans for this land. Thank you.

We did not agree to a high density development in our neighborhood when we purchased. We agreed to a low density, 2 story building.

I am very concerned about this proposed high-density housing. With the increased traffic close to the central park, it creates safety issues for the kids walking / biking on the pathways.
