Keep High Density Housing From Encroaching on the Central Park Neighborhood

I do not want to see a high density, large structure added to the Central Park Neighborhood! I live a block away from this site and overlook the pond. My home was a highly desired location, but that will change if this large complex is allowed. It will have many adverse effects. Traffic congestion. Overpopulation. Lower property value. The community aesthetic would be gone. There are already a number of townhome and apartment communities in this area that have greatly increased traffic, this complex would push things over the edge. The original plan was to have lower density housing and that is what is still needed to keep the views, property value, and community feel. Arbor Lakes was created to have a small town community feel, this would break that.

This is concerning for so many reasons. Increasing the traffic near Central Park is a safety risk, especially with seniors driving. It's not right to build such a tall building behind the Mattamy homes. This proposal for such a large building will look very out of place in that space... Please don't do this!

I am very concerned with this development. Over the years multiple people in our neighborhood had enquired about the usage of this land and probable constructions which can happen. All of us were always told that any construction on this land would never block our view. We bought our houses with views and now this humongous construction will take away all of it. Coming to the central park aspect of it, I am concerned of it being covered from all sides by these huge tall buildings. It is a beautiful, expensive and open park and covering it up with a tall building just doesn't fit in. I hope city is able to see this and not go ahead with this construction.

This proposed development is absurd and it needs to be stopped. It would completely tower over the existing Highgrove development and kill property values in our neighborhood. Please DO NOT let this project move forward at any cost! There is ENOUGH high density senior housing in the immediate area.

I am concerned at the level of density housing occurring around Central Park. For the development in question, a roof line of what is said to be nearly 6 stories in height will adversely impact the aesthetics of the area and, with the number of units planned, add traffic and general congestion to an already burdened area. Thank you

I purchased my home as an investment for future retirement. I do not want development that will reduce the value of my home.

I am concerned about the increased traffic in the area and the area is not properly zoned for high density living. This increases the risk of pedestrians and my neighbors safety and I have concerns over noise as a resident of the area. This neighborhood has a lot of children near by and Central Park already has a very kids friendly playground. So, I am deeply concerned about increased traffic and safety of children that lives nearby.

The proposed property will greatly increase traffic and noise around the park. Homeowners in Highgrove and surrounding neighborhoods bought in good faith. Planning Commission should limit any new construction to lower density properties.

The area is not currently zoned for high density, this proposed property will negatively impact the Highgrove neighborhood!

To "shoe horn" in this proposed retirement complex is tenuous at best and the last thing that is needed in this area is another retirement complex.

Please do not approve inconsiderate building plans for already established homeowners

We have mailed in our letter detailing our serious concerns over this development. This high-density housing is absolutely unacceptable and we are asking for the M.G. Planning Commission to protect what little open area surrounds the new Central Park. Our property value will greatly decrease causing a tremendous burden on our community.

I am opposed to this proposed high-density housing. I was charged a 'lot premium' for my location and this would, if built, lose that premium and a lot more. If this moves forward, I would be looking for them to reimburse those of us charged this 'lot premium' at a minimum. We purchased in 'good faith' we expect Maple Grove to step up and make good on their current zoning for that site.

We purchased our town home with the understanding that there would be only 4 story or lower buildings at low to medium density.

I am opposed to the proposed high-density housing as a homeowner of a townhome facing Central Park. Please do not approve this.

If this complex is built, it will not only tower over our townhouse but block our views of what was intended to be one-story senior living townhouses. There are too many multi-story, high-density housing popping up around Central Park and it is beginning to erode the benefits of the open environment around the park. I request you NOT TO APPROVE this project and retain the original zoning for low-density, single-story senior living housing.
