I moved to Heber 12 years ago from Park City for the rural environment. I live in what is called Daniel and excepted and liked the small planes flying close to my house! I did not buy my property to have jets fly over!! I don't need or want more noise and pollution in my life from the jets! Just say "no", there is absolutely no benefit to the people of Daniel.

Park City can build their own airport, and pollute their county! I believe this petition should be for a broader population since there are many not in the Heber City area proper who will be impacted by an expansion. I believe this "expansion" needs to have an environmental impact statement first. Buying the "Maverick property" seems premature and makes me question the true motives of this move.,

I'm a flight attendant for a major airline and I can assure you, you don't want those 80 ton airplanes polluting this valley. If you think Salt lake has a problem with pollution, wait till those big airplanes start coming into this valley. The noise alone is enough to discourage the idea. The city council persons that vote to approve an airport expansion are going to be the most disliked people in the valley for years.

We do not need an airport expansion. Our airport works very well as is and is an appropriate size for our small valley. Do not make our beautiful valley a concrete jungle.

Keep airport at it's current rating. Maximize the charges for any aircraft that exceeds this rating. (an oversize tariff)

The Heber Airport presently adequately serves pilots characteristic to the Heber Valley; i.e., vintage aircraft, gliders, and smaller single and twin engine propeller planes. The travel time savings for out of town travel to Park City comes at a price to locals in the form of noise and air pollution. With no benefit to residents of the Heber Valley it is worth real effort to retain the character of the Heber Valley and leave the airport in its present state.

It is a subsidy program for the very rich. It isn't just about the 5% local taxes we would all have to pay. We all pay fed taxes as well. Tax payers are on the hook for the full $30 million.

Who will benefit from expansion? Perhaps the FBO, looking for a lease extension beyond current 2014. Sundance participants, but they already can land here. The Taxpayers?? I am absolutely against expansion of the airport. In addition, I question why we have an airport at all that loses money each year for the city when the land could be used for other tax generating activities that would improve the Heber Valley and the tax base.
