I LOVE N.Y. RESTAURANTS: Fund Small Businesses to Prep Meals for Neighbors in Need
In February, President Biden issued an executive order that makes it possible to fund local restaurants to prep meals for those who need it most. Similar to the FEED Act, the order allows state and city governments to apply to FEMA (the Federal Emergency Management Agency) for millions of dollars that will both:
1) provide a line of support for struggling restaurants, and
2) address unprecedented rates of food insecurity nationwide.
We’re calling on Gov. Cuomo to commit at least $25 million in this year’s state budget to create the “I LOVE N.Y. RESTAURANTS” program. The funding will be fully reimbursed from FEMA to New York State. "I LOVE N.Y. RESTAURANTS" will allow local restaurants to apply for funding, then prepare tasty and culturally appropriate meals for those who need it most in our communities.
Current legislators supporting the plan include: Assemblymembers Robert Rodriguez, Harry Bronson, Marianne Buttenschon, Catalina Cruz, Emily Gallagher, Carmen de la Rosa, Charles Fall, Angelo Morinello, Daniel O'Donnell, Victor Pichardo, Madeline Seawright, Gina Silliti and Steve Stern. Tell your state representatives to sign on, too! And add your name below in support.

The Gaylord White House’s Tenant Association supports this effort whokeheartedly!
We would love to have access to funds so we can make more meals for the less privileged. I understand and applaud world kitchen for what they are doing but they are only choosing restaurants that are closed to their sphere meaning you have to know somebody.
Help the Restaurateurs that are in a difficult economic position due to Convid19
To all our politicians, this is the time to heal and work together! For East Harken! For our community for our esenciales workers! For our families!! My team and I We did our part to keep open in the most difficult times! Managment we cut our salaries since December! So we can operate! because we followed state orders to close inside dinning!! Deliveries & pick up were not enough to pay our business expenses!! The only way to keep moving forward and keep our business open is with your support! We BEG!! Stronger together!! El Paso NYC Team
