As a retiree, I would like a choice in my insurance to determine which one gives retirees the best benefits.

Give the people the choice of carriers or the option to remain with their current provider

When I heard that Aetna was going to be our provider, I was initially hopeful. Since then, I have spoken to a doctor and several people who already have Aetna. None of them had good comments. What's the point of having cheaper insurance if it's going to be more difficult to get our health needs approved? The extra layer of bureaucracy and the time delay in getting off-island approval will cause aggravation on our part, which is the LAST thing we need when we're sick.

I want a choice! I have not heard good things about either Aetna or Netcare from current subscribers. Nothing but problems.

We should be given choices, not be forced into one. It is so late to choose a company with no previous history & not even have the details yet, so you should include Calvo's (& maybe FHP). What happened to "Support Local"?

Thank you, Governor, for choosing a company that is supposed to be the least expensive; however, I think we should still be given choices, whether it's 2 or 3. Plus we should "Support Local" by letting Calvo's be one of those choices.
