Access to adequate sporting facilities is very important to promote public health and physical activity, The access by these clubs benefits many residents of Canterbury City Council and surrounding areas because it is not just the members of these clubs that benefit. It is critical that this green space remains accessible for sport and recreational activities.

Canterbury Council has a process for implementing plan of managements for parks. Interested to understand why this is any different.

With the increasing population, visible by the rapidly rising towers, we need every green space we currently have. Those who live in these towers will desperately need recreation space.

Clearly if councillor is Archer and his nephew also who featured in news, is a conflict of interest and the councillor should at the very least not have anything to do with process.
